Our concern for the environment has always been the source of the new solutions we have implemented for our customers. A pilot project developed for Kuehne + Nagel aimed to install an EcoDrive system on a Scania CNG truck belonging to Blue River. If the truck's engine is running, EcoDrive converts mechanical energy into electricity for the semi-trailer's cooling unit, so that its diesel engine remains stopped.
The pilot project was a success for Blue River and its partners and will be implemented on a larger scale for other partner companies. Blue River can now carry out refrigerated transport on regular routes, reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The project was carried out with the help of Cool Unit Expert, the official distributor of Carrier Transicold in Romania.
