Blue River supports the “România dăruiește” 2026 Carol Caravan with two electric trucks and handles the project’s logistics nationwide
Bucharest, 2 November 2026 | Blue River, a Romanian transport and logistics company, joins the “România dăruiește” (“Romania Gives”) 2026 Carol Caravan as Official Logistics Partner, providing two electric trucks and the operational resources needed to run the project nationwide.
Organised by the Construim o Țară Association, the caravan will run from 29 November to 20 December 2026, bringing together communities, volunteers and partners in an initiative dedicated to solidarity and to supporting people in need.
Two electric trucks for a nationwide route
With the support and involvement of Daimler Truck, Blue River is providing the project with two Mercedes-Benz eActros vehicles, which will transport the donations, materials and equipment needed for the caravan. The project includes a Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, a 4x2 electric tractor unit from the 2025 generation with a 600 kWh battery, and a Mercedes-Benz eActros 400, a three-axle 6x2 electric rigid truck with a 400 kWh battery. Fitted with a semi-trailer and a box body respectively, the two vehicles offer an estimated total load volume of 130 m³.
About 2,400 kilometres, ten stops and communities united by solidarity
The caravan will set off on 29 November and will stop in Timișoara, Arad, Oradea, Vișeu de Sus, Cluj-Napoca, Bacău, Brașov, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Pitești and Berceni. The project will end on 20 December at the National Arena in Bucharest. Beyond its social mission, the project involves a complex logistics operation, with long-distance journeys, successive stops and a schedule that requires careful coordination.

Electric transport experience, built in day-to-day operations
Blue River was the first company to take early steps in integrating electric trucks into commercial transport operations in Romania, gaining practical experience in running them in real working conditions. This experience has gradually extended to regional distribution and long-distance transport, including international routes, where electric vehicles are used for the commercial transport of goods.
This has allowed the Blue River teams to develop specific operational skills, and taking part in the “România dăruiește” Carol Caravan is an opportunity to put this expertise to use in a different context, placing Blue River’s technology, logistics resources and people behind an initiative dedicated to the community.

The “România dăruiește” 2026 Carol Caravan is a humanitarian initiative run as part of the national project “România ești TU!” (“Romania is YOU!”), which aims to bring the spirit of Christmas closer to communities across Romania and to mobilise solidarity in support of children and families in difficult situations. The event combines carols and the atmosphere of the winter holidays with humanitarian actions through which the organisers and partners aim to offer concrete support to those in need.
