Blue River handled the transport of the Bucharest National Opera's instruments to the Ravello Festival
The company provided logistical support for the participation of the Romanian orchestra in the gala concert held at Villa Rufolo, as part of the Romania–Italy Cultural Year 2026. The operation began in Bucharest with a 100% electric truck and continued along an international route that combined road with sea transport.
Held in the emblematic setting of Villa Rufolo, the event marked the end of the Romanian semester of the Romania–Italy Cultural Year 2026, one of the most important cultural-diplomacy projects developed in recent years between the two states.
The logistics behind an international cultural event
The first stage of the transport was carried out with a Blue River 100% electric truck, used to collect the instruments and equipment directly from the headquarters of the Bucharest National Opera. After collection, the electric truck moved to the Blue River depot, where the cargo was transferred to a 7.5-tonne diesel truck, fitted with a hydraulic lift and prepared for the international route to Italy.
The journey continued along the route Bucharest – Ruse – Sofia – Kulata – Thessaloniki – Igoumenitsa. From the port of Igoumenitsa, the truck crossed the Adriatic Sea aboard a ferry, on a journey of approximately ten hours to Brindisi. The road route then continued towards Naples and Pompeii, before the final stage to Ravello.
For the Blue River team, this trip had a special significance: the company's work supported the presence of a cultural institution representative of Romania on one of Europe's important stages.
Romanian music, in a prestigious international setting
The gala concert was performed by the Bucharest National Opera Orchestra, under the baton of maestro Daniel Jinga, with violinist Alexandru Tomescu as soloist, performing on the famous Stradivarius Elder-Voicu violin.
The repertoire brought into dialogue the works of composers George Enescu and Niccolò Paganini, highlighting the Romanian and Italian musical heritage and the excellence of the Romanian school of performance before the Italian and international public.
The programme contributed to strengthening the Romanian-Italian cultural dialogue, to promoting Romanian heritage and contemporary creativity, as well as to increasing Romania's visibility in the European cultural space.
A journey that continued through music
For the audience, the evening in Ravello meant music, emotion and the meeting of two cultures. For the teams involved, the event was the result of preparation in which every contribution had a well-defined role.
